These terms describe use of Best Halloween Houses of La Crosse, a local guide to decorated homes and participating sponsors. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

About the guide

The guide is an independent informational resource. Descriptions such as “best” reflect editorial selection, not an official rating, inspection, or guarantee. Listing a home does not mean the organizer owns the property, controls the display, or supervises visits. Sample houses, sponsor businesses, map pins, and offers are demonstrations only and are not verified destinations or redeemable promotions.

Plan and visit responsibly

Displays, dates, lighting hours, and accessibility can change without notice. Check current information before traveling. Addresses, map positions, and directions may contain errors. Follow traffic and parking laws, respect neighbors and posted restrictions, and remain on public sidewalks or other permitted areas unless the property owner invites you onto the property. A listing is not permission to enter private property. Adults are responsible for supervising children and making safe decisions during their outing.

Sponsors and offers

Paid sponsorship supports the guide. Sponsor placements and offers are promotional content. Each business is responsible for its own products, services, availability, offer conditions, and transactions. Confirm any restrictions, expiration date, or redemption requirements directly with the business. Sponsorship does not constitute a guarantee by the organizer. A separate written agreement governs any sponsorship purchase.

Advertising platforms and independence

The guide may be promoted through Facebook, Instagram, Google, Pinterest, and other channels. Those services are independent of this guide. Advertising on a platform does not mean that platform endorses, administers, or sponsors the guide or a promotion. Platform account activity, purchases, and services remain subject to that platform’s own terms. Advertising disclosures do not guarantee that an advertisement will be approved or delivered to any particular audience.

Promotions, prizes, and business transactions

No giveaway or contest is created by these terms alone. Any future promotion will have separate official rules and a privacy notice. Promotional offers can have eligibility requirements, limits, exclusions, and expiration dates set by the relevant business. The guide does not process visitor purchases from sponsors, issue refunds on their behalf, or resolve their customer-service obligations. Contact the seller for a transaction dispute. Any statutory rights you have against a seller remain unaffected.

Suggestions and corrections

Send accurate information and only content you have permission to share. Do not submit private contact information about another person, unlawful material, or knowingly misleading information. The organizer may decline, edit, or remove suggested material and listings. Providing a suggestion does not guarantee publication. By sending content specifically for publication, you permit the organizer to review, edit for clarity or format, and display it in connection with the guide. You retain any rights you hold in that content. A private correction, removal request, or contact message is not a grant of permission to publish your private correspondence. Separate permission is needed for uses outside the purpose of your submission. Contact the organizer to report an error or request review of a listing or photograph. The online submission form is currently unavailable in this preview.

Photos, logos, and website content

Photographs, illustrations, text, logos, and other materials belong to their respective rights holders. You may share links to the guide and print the provided visitor guide for personal use. These permissions do not authorize commercial reuse of photographs, copying business logos, or representing the content as your own. Contact the organizer about other uses or copyright concerns.

Website use and outside services

Do not attempt unauthorized access to the editor, interfere with the website, or use it for unlawful activity. Links to map services, sponsor websites, and other external services are provided for convenience; their own terms and policies apply. The organizer does not control those services.

Availability and responsibility

The website is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation or complete, current, or error-free information. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the organizer does not provide warranties concerning the guide or third-party displays, products, or services. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded. Use your own judgment when planning travel and visiting displays.

Limits and changes

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the organizer is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from reliance on inaccurate display information, third-party services, or interruptions to the guide. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or waive mandatory consumer rights. The organizer may change, suspend, or remove website features or content, and may restrict abusive or unlawful use. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Privacy, updates, and contact

The Privacy Policy explains current information handling and planned advertising practices. These terms do not replace any separate consent required for cookies, targeted advertising, contact matching, or marketing messages. These terms may be updated as the guide changes; the revised date will appear above. Contact the organizer using the address below with questions, corrections, or concerns.
